Here’s Lisa. What a sweetheart. She’s going to share part of her full session with three others this summer, three horses that is. We are looking forward to that. Horse have got to be my other favorite thing in the world besides my family and photography.

We had a great time with Esther today. She started out nervous like most seniors but before too long we were laughing and having a great time.
Dave and Ellen had a beautiful wedding at the Masonic Temple on Saturday. We loved the the different rooms and locations we found around the temple. Here are a few of our faves from the day.

Last week we went to Vegas for alittle R&R. Well that’s really not what you get when you go to Vegas. You need another vacation to recover from you trip. Anyway we had a great time eating, site seeing and of course gambling. I wish I could have stayed for the photography convention going on this week but I had to get back to work. The first day we arrived my husband and I walked the strip. This was really the only day I took my camera with me. I hope to visit again soon so that I can head down to Fremont St.
Last month at our regional PPA [Professional Photographers of America] meeting we were encouraged to take part in supporting PPA Charities and being a small part in a bigger cause. The PPA contributes to Operation Smile and other children’s charities. I’m always looking for the little ways that I can give back and make a difference. This is exactly what I’d love to be doing. There are several ways to participate and contribute but I’m going to start out with something I can do right now and move into something bigger later in the year.
For every session I do this year, I will be donating $5 to PPA Charities. For the month of October, Family Portrait Month, I will be donating $15 of ever session!

Remember, you can make a donation to PPA Charities at any time for any reason…out of the kindness of your heart or in honor or memory of a friend, colleague, or family member. I will be making my donations monthy and look forward to giving a full report at the end of the year! I’ll be posting more about Family Portrait Month in the future.
